EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN PLAYED ON THE PAST AIRINGS :)

April 4th, 2026

⚝⚝⚝The first six songs today are extra important because they are all by artists that will be featured at the upcoming Pet Sounds Music Banquet this Saturday!! Pet Sounds is a super cool DIY music festival at Rubulad that you have probably been seeing me talk about for weeks now. I went to the first Pet Sounds in September and it was the coolest. So many endlessly talented people playing live and so many great vendors participating. You should make sure to grab tickets while they’re still available. So, on-air we featured all the artists who will be there this week as a teaser for what you can hear in real life. Also, last week, an Off-Air interview with Jake Murray of Diner Pets came out! In that interview we get a lot of the insider scoop on the Pet Sounds Music Banquet and all the reasons it’ll be even better than the last one!⚝⚝⚝

Jake from Diner Pets said Surgeon General was one of his favorites and that he was really excited to have them as part of the festival. Their music is more classic post-punk, high energy. Apparently they don’t play in NYC very often, so it is extra exciting to have them here this coming weekend. “In/Impatient” is off of a live album of theirs, which is always a good sign on Brooklyn Buzz because I only play the most energetic and impressive live recordings.

Jake from Diner pets describes Whirlybird as similar to Diner Pets in sound. Kinda twee, with very singer-songwriter type music. This tune is super fresh from Whirlybird as well, as it came out only last week! The whole EP, Closer to the Mirror, is worth checking out, but this song is my personal favorite off the album. I have a weak spot for trumpets like these.

In/Impatient (Live) ~ Surgeon General

Irish Goodbye ~ Whirlybird

Fantastic, beautiful music. This song is off the full album, I Love Big Old Dogs (which is super relatable by the way), and in the off-air interview, Jake from Diner Pets described Chammeili as “making incredibly feel-good indie music with big chords and big melodies. She is just great overall and her band is incredibly talented.” So, definitely come and see them play live April 11th!

Why’d I Bother ~ Chammeili

One Million ~ Weathergirl

I think Weathergirl is the only band of these first six that I’ve played on-air before. Earlier I played “Morning Glories/As the Crow Flies” (although on-air I couldn’t remember what the song was called and instead embarrassingly tried to explain the dental-focused album cover). They’re classic shoegaze with great vocalists, and a great band overall. It also sounds like Weathergirl was the last to be added to the Pet Sounds lineup and they were the final piece of the puzzle that made the setlist so top-tier for Saturday!

This tune is off of a full length album that came out recently, just in the middle of March! Evil Twin is awesome. In the Off-Air interview with Jake from Diner Pets, he explained that they played with Evil Twin a little bit ago at Pianos and they had a super fun time together. Evil Twin is kinda 90s/2000s rock, which I need more of in my life. I need more modern classic rock in my day-to-day, does that make sense? Even if it doesn't, Evil Twin satisfies that urge for me.

Frost on the Lilies ~ Evil Twin

This is the sixth and final of the featured artists that will be at the Pet Sounds Music Banquet this weekend. The Alabasters are really funky, almost a pavement band as Jake from Diner Pets explained in the Off-Air interview. Additionally, Diner Pets played with The Alabaters before and said they are absolutely stellar. I think this is a really strong way to end our Pet Sounds segment on Brooklyn Buzz today, because this tune is particularly nostalgic and catchy!

Tucked ~ The Alabasters

———— That is it for the Pet Sounds Music Banquet feature! Now for the rest of the show… ————

I played Father Koi last week, so this is a funny coincidence. On-air I was reading their Spotify bio, “Two eggs fried well done with whole wheat toast, sausage, and waffle fries” and it made me giggle. If that doesn’t persuade you to listen, then I don’t know what will. I wanted to play them this week because this is a tune that came out at the end of February and…

⚝ Koi will be playing a live show on April 23rd at Woodshop! I’m always excited when I get to shout out a venue I was previously unfamiliar with.

Sail the Ocean ~ koi

Better Safe Than Sorry ~ Claire Martine

This song came out this past week and it's SO beautiful, I’m a big fan of this one. And I feel extra connected to Claire in their music because they were born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has now moved and is based in NYC. I’m from Minnesota, right next door to Wisconsin, so I understand the feeling of the switch between the Midwest to the Big Apple. I hope you’re settling into the city comfortably, Claire!

You may previously have known Nettle as “Daysies,” but with a new name comes lots of new possibilities and great new music! This song came out not even a week ago, so it’s completely fresh. Make sure to keep your eyes and ears out for any shows and music they may have coming up in the future!

⚝ For example, they will be playing at Gold Sounds on April 25th! Support local artists <3

Apropos ~ Nettle

Hot Dog ~ Surfbort

These guys are really crazy, energized, fantastic performers. I wanted to play them when I did because they had a live show that same night at Market Hotel. Pratt student listeners (and especially younger ones), if you don’t know, Market Hotel is the place nearby the be! Now, for Surfbort, I think this song in particular is a perfect encapsulation of their sound and aesthetic. “Hot Dog” is off of their new album, Reality Star. If you like creative, unique, semi-comedic bands, Surfbort is perfect for you.

Texas Queen ~ Water Gun

Water Gun is another group that I played on-air forever ago now, and I felt like they deserved more love! I played their song “Heaven Sent” previously, but this fresh, new song came out only in the middle of March! This one is going to be entering my regular rotation for sure.

March 28th, 2026

Smoke ~ Big Dumb Baby

I was incredibly excited for this album to come out, which only came out a day before I got to play it on-air, and when it released I happily discovered it was difficult for me to pick my favorite song to play. Effortlessly cool, please go listen to the full Runt album!

Plush ~ Deep Sky Objects

This is a tune off a fresh EP from Deep Sky Objects that came out only a week ago! If you’re looking for high-energy psychedelic shoegazy music, it’s a perfect match for you. Also check them out on Bandcamp for even more music!

This song turns bittersweet emotion into something irresistibly catchy. If you’re a frequent listener to Brooklyn Buzz, you know I’m obsessed with Blanket Approval. No-skip albums like this are a huge reason why. Check out the full Heartbreak City album for yourself!

Heartbreak City ~ Blanket Approval

If You Change ~ Widowspeak

All of Widowspeak’s music has a quiet beauty to it. I was excited to play this one on air specifically because it is an early released song off of their album, Roses, that will be coming out June 5th. I found their album, Almanac, in a local record store the other day too which has made me very giddy. :)

⚝Celebrate their full album release on June 16th when they will be playing a live show at Music Hall of Williamsburg!

I will always have a soft spot for music about specific places, whether they be associated with certain memories or are childhood homes. This tune is warm and captures a wandering, memorable feeling. An acoustic version of “Arizona” came out about a month ago, but I wanted to celebrate the original first.

⚝Gwenn Malick will be playing TONIGHT (3/31/26) at Pianos! Make sure to support your favorite local artists :)

Arizona ~ Gwenn Malick

The Most Wanted Woman In Estonia ~ Theophobia

A total switch up in vibe but I absolutely adore clownish, bouncy, whimsical music. Plus, a song with a full narrative story will always capture my attention, so this tune by Theophobia has it all!

⚝They will be playing at Hart Bar on April 4th!

Windswept ~ Frankie Sunswept & The Silver Moons

This song floats along with a breezy, cinematic elegance. Like, I can clearly picture a grand opening to a music video or a film with how this song begins. The harmonic vocals are particularly beautiful and notable to me. Unfortunately, Frankie Sunswept & The Silver Moons just had a live show, but keep your eyes out for things they may have coming!

Windswept ~ Frankie Sunswept & The Silver Moons

March is Women’s History Month, which I wanted to celebrate now that the month is coming to an end. I thought the perfect way would be to promote this recent Girl Noise music festival by playing all of the artists that were going to be featured on stage. Awesomely, Girl Noise got sold out before I had the opportunity to play these artists! I still wanted to play all these wonderful songs though. Support local artists!

Buffchick bursts with a confident, playful vibe. Definitely started the year strong with this January release. Buffchick also has a spring tour coming up, starting in May! I haven’t seen any NYC shows but especially since our Pratt school year is coming to a close soon, make sure to check if buffchick will be in a town you are visiting/returning to!

IDK!! ~ Buffchick

Circles ~ Caitlin Starr

Happy 1 year anniversary to this EP, Hold On Tight! This tune is rife with emotions and a melody that easily sticks with you. Keep an eye and ear out for things that Caitlin Starr may be doing soon!

3am ~ Father Koi

Father Koi is the only artist who played at Girl Noise that I have played on-air before! Previously, I had played “Dreamgirl” from everything is a dream, but it is your dream, and I highly recommend that whole album as well. I’m obsessed with their playfully electronic music. Synth captures my heart always.

Fable ~ For Opal

This song came out only a day before I got to play it on-air which is always so exciting for me. This song is so beautiful too, with a very magical and immersive feeling. I especially love the vocals. Additional shout out for their strong graphical aesthetics in their album covers and social media, which is something I’m always keeping an eye out for!

With a completely unexpected sound, this song is tender and honest. I also recently saw that Leyla Ebrahimi may have something exciting coming for us in just a few days… So make sure you are keeping your eyes and ears open for new things from them!

I don’t like being left behind ~ Leyla Ebrahimi

Julia ~ Simone

This song particularly is successful in making me deeply emotional. I think it reminds me a lot of music I used to listen to, and of course the subject matter is meant to tug on your heartstrings anyway. It’s successful in doing so, trust me, but check it out for yourself too!

Daydream Delusion ~ Speedrun

Finishing off strong, this tune by Speedrun races with vibrant energy and addictive beat. This is another EP that it was difficult to pick just one song off of, so make sure to check out Love’s Latest News in its entirety!

I wanted to showcase this song because if you tuned in last week we had an interview with Jake Murray from Diner Pets! He was talking all about the Pet Sounds Music Banquet coming up, his band and the people in it, including all the fun insider details of it all. The audio recording for that interview will be up on my website soon and ALSO will be turned into a written WPIR Off-Air online magazine entry.

⚝ The Pet Sounds Music Banquet is coming April 11th at Rubulad! Make sure to get your tickets to see a huge lineup of bands, DJs, and hot dogs! Diner Pets will be playing, so this song is just a little taste of the live show you can see that day :)

March 21st, 2026

Pay for The Ones That Go ~ Diner Pets

Pratt alumni alert! A while back, another one of our stars here at WPIR interviewed him for one of our first ever Off-Air magazine posts, which we were all mega excited about at the time. The interview was around the time he was playing a show at Baby’s, so there are a lot of cool concerts and behind-the-scenes photos included. This song came out only a few weeks ago though, fresh off the block!

Navy ~ Lucca Dohr

This song is off of their new full length album that came out at the beginning of March. You may have previously known MEGAOMEGA as Birthday Ass, which I’m fairly certain I played a song of theirs back when that was their name, but as an homage to this awesome previous title, this album is called Birthday Ass. I’m a huge fan of this one (and I love the album cover – which is something I always love shouting out) so make sure you give it a listen! It has some wonderful brass and woodwind moments throughout, and if that doesn’t convince you then I don’t know what will.

This is a single off of their upcoming album, which will be out May 1st! It’s called How My Own Voice Sounds, and it is their first full length album! Make sure to keep your eyes and ears out for that one in May. Let’s get a little heavier now!

Overcomplicate ~ Sub*T

Wizard Fuck ~ MEGAOMEGA

Ban Male Podcasts ~ Bad Static

This came out on the exact day I played it on air!! They were kind enough to recommend a specific song to play on-air, and I did pick that one of course. The name really drew me in. The full album is called Miss Dirty Fingers, and they had a show at Main Drag Music that same night in order to celebrate. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming shows of theirs because their energy is off the hook! Plus, I think we can all agree: ban male podcasts because that shit is dumb.

This is a single that came out fresh earlier this very month! We are bringing the energy back down to relax with this one. Something about the vocals, beat, and perfect combination of soft drums and guitar really hypnotizes me with this one. <3

⚝ DD Island will be playing April 5th at Nightclub 101! One of the best ways to support local artists is to see them live. Buy those tickets, buy their merch, and especially check all these bands out on Bandcamp and buy their music for download. Support the ones you love!

Easy Fix ~ DD Island

Cut Worms has returned as the half-way point for our show! I used to be so obsessed with Cut Worms that I played one song of theirs a week, and longtime Brooklyn Buzz fans will know that it turned into A Thing. But now there happens to be a fantastic reason to bring them back onto the radio waves today! They have a new album that came out this week, called Transmitter. I found myself in Psychic Records a couple days ago and freaked out when I saw it. My broke ass couldn’t buy it that day but my birthday is coming

⚝ Cut Worms will be playing live at Warsaw on May 16th! I saw them live once at Music Hall of Williamsburg and it really was a magical show with the most perfect folk rock (alongside John Andrews and the Yawns that day). Take my word for it, they are worth seeing live!

Evil Twin ~ Cut Worms

Tooth Fairy ~ John Roseboro & Mei Semones

Both of these fantastic musicians have been played on Brooklyn Buzz before, but I couldn’t resist playing this out-of-this-world collaboration. Mei Semones has an EP coming out April 10th, which you should keep an ear out for. All the songs teased from it so far are all collaborations with different people on each song, which is another level of beautiful and special. This isn’t the most recent release off the upcoming album, but this song has a gorgeous music video that goes along with it so I couldn’t resist. Check all of this out for yourself!

So unromantic ~ lady lychee

Something REALLY REALLY COOL happened!! The weekend previous to this show, I attended something so unique and mind-alteringly cool, I need to talk about it. I attended the Band Brawl hosted by Heatvision Studios in Outbox Gym. Literally bands playing in a boxing ring, rounds 1-2-3, audience voting for who wins the battle, comedians entertaining in between set-ups, contortionist Amy is intermissioning… it was out of this world. If they ever do it again, I will be attending, and I wanted to tell everyone else that they should as well. So, as a little celebration to my memories of this fantastic show, I wanted to play all the bands that had the guts to brawl!

Saying lady lychee’s name on-air reminded me that I always get called out for saying “lychee” weird… lady lychee herself does not call me out so I’m in the clear. Getting to play this tune is super exciting because this is their first released music in three years! I played a song from their 2023 album, “Unbreakable Untouchable Young Man,” which was a hit in the station when I played it back then. I can’t wait to see what they continue to do in the future!

HA (Gabaldon) ~ Libby Quinn

First up in the brawl we had Libby Quinn! I was so shocked by the saxophone performance, I had never seen such energetic sax and especially not within this type of genre. Also, dare I say, best dressed that night? The boxing shorts were killer. They had fantastic moshing, fantastic energy, fantastic musicianship… Congratulations to Libby Quinn for winning their brawl!

⚝ Libby Quinn has a show coming up!! They will be playing March 27th at Purgatory. If you want fantastic, energetic performers, they are your people to see.

Facing Libby Quinn was Dotia, who were real fierce competitors. I genuinely didn’t know who to vote for because both blew me away and were so drastically different. Dotia was so magnetic, raw, fierce, and beautiful from beginning to end. This song is their most recent release, from the end of last year. Please please please give them some love.

Duct Tape ~ Dotia

Beginning the second battle in the band brawl, Gwen rocked it. All the members are really young and already killing it, I wish I was on their level. They had proper beef with their competitor too which was so entertaining. They were yelling into the mic, roasting Dr. Boat, all with love and it was awesome. Their two differing music styles made for an enthralling competition, and I can't get enough of some piano on stage! Make sure to check out Gwen’s music and keep an eye out for things they have coming up in the future!

Cigarette ~ Gwen

The final competitor of the night, won their brawl against Gwen. Such a close fight, I think there was like a one vote difference between the two in the end. Unbelievable. Dr. Boat also had such great energy, but they also had props, roasts, and less and less clothes every round.

⚝ They will be playing on May 6th and Elsewhere Zone 1! They are supporting The Moon City Masters during their album release show. I can say with authority that Dr. Boat has the most fantastic energy and performance to see live, so please make sure to give them some love and see them at Elsewhere in May.

Overflow ~ Dr. Boat

This band is known and loved, definitely the biggest band we will be playing today. Yot Club has an album coming up and they’ve been slowly rolling out those singles up until the big day. This technically isn’t their freshest single, but it was still released very recently and I wanted to play this one because it has been my personal favorite so far. It’s always getting stuck in my head now, but I’m not even mad. The full album will be called Simpleton and will be out April 17th! Make sure to keep your eyes and ears out for it!

March 7th, 2026

Projecting ~ Yot Club

It Wasn’t You, It Was the Feeling ~ OK Cowgirl

This song came out only three days before getting to play it on air, and I had been waiting for it! OK Cowgirl has been played on Brooklyn Buzz before, we love we love we love them so much. This song in particular really sparks memory and emotion for me. I love how it feels so reflective and quietly powerful.

We are getting some lesbian metal up in here. I don’t play enough metal and I always want it. This is their first song they have put out on streaming but they have been around playing shows for a little bit and I know they have other fantastic music to come. I’m just gonna put it out there: I hope they put “Parasite” on streaming platforms soon because I would be rockin' that hard every day if I could. Although, this is a great moment to say, please go support all these bands on bandcamp!!

Angel ~ Hallo

Lake Effect ~ Darryl Rahn

Totally switching up the vibe from the last one. That’s the great thing about getting to showcase local music, there is such a huge variety in this lovely city and I love giving you whiplash listening to my show. This single came out only a couple weeks ago!

⚝ Darryl Rahn has a live show coming up! It will be at Mercury Lounge on March 21st! For our Pratt friends, that is over our Spring Break so you don’t have any excuses not to go ;) Everyone that gets to play at Mercury Lounge is practically a guaranteed great performer. Great venue, great music.

Imagine Your Face ~ Pearla

Getting to play this song is near and dear to me because back when I first started my show Pearla was one of the first people I discovered. I don’t even remember how, but I played a song off of their 2019 EP. I think the song was called “Daydream” and I still listen to it occasionally and reminisce. The song I played on this show though is much fresher from only a few weeks ago. Definitely give Pearla’s whole discography a listen, because all of their music is endlessly beautiful.

This song came out at the beginning of the year. Still pretty fresh, but I wanted to make sure to play them this week because they have a show coming up that I want to shout out! “Congradulations, you’ve been a dick for a whole year,” is so relatable too, like we all have people in our lives we could say that to…

⚝ March 31st they will be playing live at Pianos! They seem like they’re really cool performers; Once you give this tune a listen then you’re for sure going to want to see them live at the end of this month.

Happy Anniversary ~ FLEET

I’ve played sana sana, the shoegaze royalty from queens, before but it has been a hot minute. I wanted to give them a little shout out this week because lovely Katixa from sana sana used to be a WPIR board member at our little college radio station! She was kind enough to visit the station and it was a delight to get to talk to about the old ins and outs of our station before COVID hit. She gave lots of tips on how to get some really fun things going here, so for all our Pratt listeners… keep your eyes out for things to come!

full circle ~ sana sana

Echo ~ Sara Devoe & Mikey Leão

The collaboration of the year right here! Both Sara Devoe & Mikey Leão have been played on Brooklyn Buzz before and are very loved on the radio waves. I find the album cover very beautiful and entrancing too, I love the analog style. This collaborative tune came out only a few weeks ago, and I keep finding myself completely hypnotized by the soft harmonies.

⚝ Sara Devoe has a show coming up on April 26th, at Nightclub 101!

Clock Serum’s music is very different from what I usually play on-air, but that is simply because of my lack of exposure to local techno music! If techno is your wheelhouse, Clock Serum must be out in your rotation. Listen for yourself, and you’ll agree.

⚝ Andrew Wang of Clock Serum has a show coming up at Hart Bar on April 18th! He will be opening the night of a strong lineup with some killer underground electronic music. Definitely a show worth seeing live.

Contrast ~ Clock Serum

The Big Easy reminds me of the music I listened to a lot in the early 2010s, and I love them for it as they continue my subtly emo days. This song came out at the end of last year so it isn’t as fresh as some of the other delicious fruit I played this week, but I wanted to make sure I got to play The Big Easy this week because they had a show coming up!

⚝ At the point of me posting this, the show is TONIGHT!! They are going to play at Purgatory (March 20th), and you should definitely go! It would be a perfect last hurrah for our spring break here at Pratt!

Leaves ~ The Big Easy

This track hits with raw energy and a gritty attitude with a rhythm that pulls you in from the first note. Turn this one up when you listen! I played this song the week I did because they had a show coming up at the time at Alphaville. Now that that has unfortunately passed, I can still shout out…

⚝ They will be playing at Hart Bar on May 23rd! Playing alongside Paloma Blanco, this wouldn’t be a show to miss!

Man-Size ~ Honeycrush

Human Condition ~ Strawberry Blonde

We finished the week strong with this smooth and thoughtful song that has a mellow tune, helping us settle down after a great hour of music. I highly suggest just sitting back and closing your eyes to this one. Don’t be alarmed though, when its strong beat comes in! I love indie emo pop <3

Starting off on a high note! I love this band. This whole album, Electric Hour, is so fantastic I had a hard time picking just one song to play from it. They had a live show at Baby’s All Right the night that this Brooklyn Buzz show aired, and the photos look like it was off-the-hook! Please listen to this full album and make sure to keep your eyes and ears open for possible upcoming shows as they finish their tour.

February 21st, 2026

Under the Scar ~ Sword II

This song is fresh off the press from the end of January! Death Drive is endlessly cool. Self-procialmed Youtube to MP3 band – the vibes are great. I love their graphics, they have this animal onesie moment going on all the time with characters representing the members of the band. UGH it’s so cool.

⚝ They have a secret show coming up! On February 28th they’ll be playing a cheap, $10 show with a huge lineup of great bands including Fare Evasion and Miss Teen America (who are only the ones I’m familiar with but don’t even make up the full bill for the night). DM the band for the address!

Make Your Mind Up ~ Death Drive

I love these guys. They opened for Cut Worms when I saw them at Music Hall of Williamsburg a couple years ago and they were fantastic performers. Great folky, softer sound (so prepare for a switch-up in vibe compared to the surrounding songs for today). This is the first single off of their upcoming album that’ll be coming out on April 3rd!! The title of the song was incredibly applicable to all of us until this blizzard… But, the coolest part about this song is that it has a fantastically artistic and beautiful music video. It’s an animation made by painting directly onto 75mm photos to tell a story about a hitchhiker moving through the world. I highly recommend you check it out!

Goodbye Dirty Snow ~ John Andrews & The Yawns

These guys have been around for a while, so you may be more familiar with them. They just came out with a new album on Friday the 13th that I had to celebrate on-air! This band is so radical, it’s difficult not to fall in love with them. During such a difficult and infuriating time politically, their songs will really speak to you and get you riled up. This song is no exception to that! God, the guitar part in this song is so tasty too.

We Mean It, Man! ~ Gogol Bordello

This is their first song off of their upcoming self-titled album, Pippy, that’ll be released May 15th! Make sure to look for that this Spring.

⚝ They have a live show coming up where they will be playing at Pete’s Candy Store on March 8th! $10 bucks – lots of great, cheap, local shows with full, amazing bills you could be filling your weekends with :)

Angelina ~ Pippy

Legs In a Snare ~ Lip Critic

Lip Critic also has a full album coming out, this one on May 1st, and this song is the first and only song released from that upcoming album so far. Lip Critic seems to have a very dedicated and enthusiastic fanbase so definitely get in on that biz. Their live shows are cool, their music’s cool, and they have great graphic design all throughout their album art and social media. This song has a super cool music video out too, with a Babadook-esque entity haunting the screen. Definitely check that out.

Multiple songs by Best Actress for today’s show so that we can celebrate something cool we got to do together!! Best Actress just came out with their new, first full-length album (that I’m obsessed with) and I had the wonderful pleasure of interviewing them for WPIR’s Off-Air blog/magazine about the album and this new project of theirs.

The trio are all wonderful people and they totally got into the nitty-gritty with all of my prying questions about song lyrics, their album name, their process, and their friendship. So, for their showcase on Brooklyn Buzz I wanted to play what they requested, “Bardo” the banger, AND the tune that is my personal favorite, “Slane.” All their songs are short and sweet so it felt like the perfect opportunity for a double feature today. You can read that article on the WPIR website, or I also have it linked on my website (brooklyn-buzz.com).

Bardo AND Slane ~ Best Actress

Electric Feel ~ Gardenia

It’s been a while since I played Gardenia, so it felt like the perfect time to bring them back on the radio waves! This song is their fourth and final single before their new album drops, so keep your eyes and ears out for that one. This is an MGMT cover of a song we all know and love! :) Side note: I’m not a die-hard MGMT fan so one time I called them “Management” and I got flamed for it – what do you all think??

This song is kind of a throwback since it’s off of their punk album from 2022, The Fat of a Broken Heart. Really solid punk album if you’re looking for more good punk music like I always am. I always need more punk music in my life. I wanted to play them now though because they had a show on February 23rd I was able to shout-out on air. Now they have just announced a show in LONDON!

Comparing Saviors and Friends ~ Catcher

Bonafide Rockstar ~ Sarah Michelle Lee

Another musician we know we love on Brooklyn Buzz! Speaking of interviews – and this was totally coincidental – we did an interview with Sarah Michelle Lee about a year ago now that you should also go read! Time flies… crazy. THIS song is being played TODAY though because they just released this new song! I’m not gonna lie, I think this is my new favorite of theirs. I love rockstar vibes.

I Like You A Lot ~ Lowertown

Speaking of interviews (...part 2 – I swear I did not do this intentionally – ) Lowertown was actually the first group we ever did an interview with at WPIR for our Off-Air blog/magazine! Now they have a fresh album, Ugly Duckling Union, coming out on May 22nd and they recently released the first song off of that album. Keep your ears and eyes out for this one for sure. Also, I love duo bands so much!!

⚝ They have a show coming up at the end of their tour where they will be playing at Bowery Ballroom on June 27th! This one would be a blast to attend.

These guys have been around a long time and have a huge, dedicated following, but I wanted to play them today because they dropped a song and an upcoming album! This album, Everyone’s The Same, will be coming out April 3rd and it is particularly unique because “they will be opening a decade-old vault” since all the songs on this new album are demos, B-sides, and previously half-baked ideas that got put to the side, now being returned to and transformed into proper songs for releasing and loving. Lots of upcoming albums mentioned today, definitely look out for all of them!

Everyone’s The Same ~ A Place to Bury Strangers
